We will start the workshop by going over Nerisa’s general investment process and approach, after which you and your team will take on an actual case-study regarding a Dutch publicly listed company.

You will estimate if the company is a good investment opportunity, present your reasoning and highlight what you found important in the decision-making process. The event will be intellectually challenging and lots of fun for curious and ambitious students. After completing the case, we will have a drink in our office and you will get plenty of opportunity to ask our analysts and interns everything you would like to know about our work and the sector we operate in. A very valuable experience for every student and previous events have shown that you might be able to secure an internship or analyst position within our firm after successful completion of the case.

Traineeship
In ons 1 jaar durende programma sta jij als persoon centraal. In het Traineeship van CBRE ga je je 80% van je tijd specialiseren als Junior Consultant in een vakgebied naar keuze en 20% van je tijd besteden aan jouw persoonlijke ontwikkeling. Tijdens het programma wordt jou de mogelijkheid geboden om professionele trainingen te volgen, samen te werken en mee te kijken met collega’s uit verschillende vastgoeddisciplines en zo ook jouw netwerk uit te breiden. Alles om de jou een vliegende start van je vastgoedcarrière te bezorgen! Het programma start tweemaal per kalenderjaar: op 1 maart en 1 september, maar natuurlijk kun je het hele jaar door bij ons starten en ga je mee in het eerstvolgende Traineeship.

Are you interested in how it is to be a woman working in the finance sector? The Woman in Finance event offers the opportunity for students to speak with women from the companies Torqx, ABN Amro, Lincoln International and Aegon to gain perspective on what it is like to work in this industry. 

The high tea will take place from 14:00 - 18:00 and the companies will start with a short company presentation. Torqx, ABN Amro, Lincoln International and Aegon will present themselves. Training & Development

What you need to success?

University degree, preferably in (quantitative) Finance, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics or related.

And there are a few things that all of our Traders have in common: They are very analytical (with strong affinity for number), they like to work in teams, they have very strong interest in the financial markets, they can take quick decisions under pressure and they are competitive.

Presentation

During our interactive presentation, you will gain more insight into the world of trading provided by a Trader and Recruiter. This is your chance to ask all your questions and to find out what a day in the life of a trader is like. Our Trader will provide a mini lecture on ETFs and will share information about our core-business with you. You will also learn about our company culture, cutting edge technology and how you can become a trader yourself!

During the case, the teams represent private equity parties with the aim of achieving the best possible return on capital. The teams will use the first round of the case to determine the value of a set of companies. These companies will be sold during the second round of the case, the auction phase. In this phase several things happen at the same time, in which the students will have to continuously watch what is happening and adjust their strategy if necessary.
