The International Research Project (IRP) committee organises one of the biggest events of the FSR, a two-week consultancy trip to a far-away destination. The project takes place both in the Netherlands and abroad.

The IRP starts in December 2023 with training in the Netherlands. This training will teach you skills that will not only help you during the project but will contribute to your professional and personal development as well. During the project, you will put your theoretical knowledge into practice. The IRP offers you the opportunity to work at a high level in a fast-moving economy and it provides a valuable learning experience during your studies.

In July 2024 the team of 20 students travels to an international destination to provide professional consultancy services to international companies. In previous years, interesting places such as Kuala Lumpur, Boston, Sao Paulo & Rio de Janeiro, Beijing, Mumbai, Delhi, and Santiago de Chile have been visited. Last year the IRP destination was Thailand and Vietnam 

Prior to the trip, the participants are offered company visits and masterclasses. Besides this, the teams conduct desk research in the Netherlands. During the trip the group is divided into four teams, each team conducts its own individual research for an international company. The students will work on their research project during the international visiters and will conclude it with a final presentation in the Netherlands.

As a committee member, you are also a participant of the project, meaning you are also involved in the research and presentation. Joining the IRP Committee is the perfect way to meet students, teachers, and companies from varying sectors. As an IRP committee member, you have the opportunity to develop yourself in many ways.

The IRP committee consists of 2 board members and 3 committee members. The board members fulfill the functions of chairman and IT&Marketing. The committee members are responsible for respectively the functions of commercial, international, and HR. 

Main tasks of the committee consist, among other things, of:

• Recruiting the participants
• Choosing a destination
• Contact partners
• Arranging the trip
• Be a participant in the project
