Terms and Conditions

1. Identity of the association

1.1 These are the terms and conditions of the Financiële Studievereniging Rotterdam (FSR), established in Rotterdam and known in the Kamer van Koophandel (Chamber of Commerce) under number 40346422. The visiting and postal address is Burgemeester Oudlaan 50, Room G3A-06, 3062PA Rotterdam. The phone number is + 31 (0) 10 408 1830.

2. Applicability

2.1 The terms and conditions apply everyone, who uses the services of the FSR, attends events of the FSR and to all members of the FSR. By using a service, attending an event or becoming a member, you agree to being aware of the terms and conditions.
2.2 Exceptions to the terms and conditions can only be made by with written agreement from both parties (the FSR and the representative student) 
2.3 The terms and conditions can be changed at any moment without prior notice. The new terms and conditions will be uploaded to www.fsr.nl. It is recommended to regularly check the website for any changes.

3. Membership

3.1 The membership of the FSR runs from August 1st until July 31st the next year. This is a personal membership and can therefore not be transferred to another person. 
3.2 The membership will be automatically extended with a year, if the member does not cancel its membership.
3.3 By becoming a member, you accept the annual membership fee of €5.00.
3.4 If requested, the FSR can cancel your membership for the upcoming academic year. This can only be done if requested before July 31st. 
3.5 If requested later than August 1st, the membership fee will be deducted for the specific year.
3.6 The FSR has the right to terminate the membership for any reason at any time with notice to you.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 The FSR applies a penalty policy for all events.
       4.1.1 By signing up for an event you agree to this penalty policy and commit yourself to participation.
       4.1.2 The FSR determines whether you have met the criteria that apply to this penalty policy. If this is the case, you agree to pay the resulting penalty fee.
       4.1.3 The penalty policy applies to all the activities of the FSR.
       4.1.4 The penalty policy works as follows:
              4.1.4.1 In case of cancellation at least 48 hours before the event takes place, you will not be fined. Note: only cancellations that are made before 17:00 are approved.
              4.1.4.2 In case of cancellation less than 48 hours before the start of the event you will be charged a fine of €25.00.
              4.1.4.3 In case of a no-show, without cancellation, you will be charged a fine of €50.00.
              4.1.4.4 Cancellation is only possible by sending an email to the email address used in all correspondence for that specific event, stating in the subject of the email: ‘Cancellation Activity X’
       4.1.5 By agreeing to this penalty policy, you authorize the FSR to automatically withdraw the penalty fine from your bank account that you filled in on the application form.
4.2 The FSR applies a blacklist policy for all events.
       4.2.1 By signing up for an event you agree to this blacklist policy and commit yourself to participation.
       4.2.2 The FSR determines whether you have met the criteria that apply to this blacklist policy.
       4.2.3 The blacklist policy applies to all the activities of the FSR.
       4.2.4 The blacklist policy works as follows:
              4.2.4.1 In case of cancellation at least 48 hours before the event takes place, you will not be put on the blacklist. Note: only cancellations that are made before 17:00 are approved.
              4.2.4.2 In case of cancellation less than 48 hours before the start of the event you will be put on the blacklist.
              4.2.4.3 In case of a no-show, without cancellation, you will be put on the blacklist.
              4.2.4.4 Cancellation is only possible by sending an email to the email address used in all correspondence for that specific event, stating in the subject of the email: ‘Cancellation Activity X’
       4.2.5 The consequences of the blacklist are:
              4.2.5.1 Exclusion of participation in all future FSR events.
              4.2.5.2 Transmission of your personal details to the participating companies, with a statement of the reason for the late cancellation of your participation.
              4.2.5.3 The FSR cannot vouch for the consequences the transmission of the personal details regarding the blacklist arrangement would have, in a potential application procedure at the participating companies of this event.
4.3 There is no opportunity to discuss the amount of the fine and whether or not the fine will be withdrawn, and whether or not a student will be placed on the blacklist.
4.4 Transmission of your personal details to the participating companies, with a statement of the reason for the late cancellation of your participation.
4.5 The FSR cannot be held responsible for the consequences the aforementioned actions might have on a potential application procedure at the participating companies.
4.6 In case of unforeseen circumstances resulting in an absence from the activity, you should contact the FSR within 7 days from the day your activity took place. The FSR will look into your case and will decide whether the penalty fine still applies.

5. Media and liability

5.1 During events, pictures and/or films of the participants may be made. The media will be uploaded to the social media channels of the FSR, which are: Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Furthermore, the media could be uploaded to the website: www.fsr.nl. You can ask the FSR to remove a picture/video frame by sending a mail to info@fsr.nl.
5.2 The FSR is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage of whatever nature, to anything in possession of participants of activities/services of the FSR. Furthermore, the FSR is also not liable for any indirect loss, theft, or damage of no/not in time/not right performance of the FSR. 
5.3 The FSR is not liable for any damage personally occurred through FSR merchandise.
5.4 The FSR is only accountable when it is proven that a direct mistake has been made by the FSR following its obligation to the terms and conditions.
5.5 The liability of the FSR is limited to the amount that is covered by the insurance. In case the amount exceeds the amount covered by the insurance, the FSR is accountable for up to € 250 of damage recovery.

6. Privacy

6.1 When becoming a member, the FSR collects the following data:
       6.1.1 Name
       6.1.2 Gender
       6.1.3 Age
       6.1.4 Address
       6.1.5 Email address
       6.1.6 Phone number
       6.1.7 Student number
       6.1.8 Profile picture
       6.1.9 IBAN
       6.1.10 Study direction
       6.1.11 Study year
       6.1.12 Control of the Dutch language
       6.1.13 University
6.2 The reason for the collection of the specific data are:
       6.2.1 Name: To differentiate the members.
       6.2.2 Gender: To determine the title with which we can start our communication with you.
       6.2.3 Age: To determine participation in age-restricted events.
       6.2.4 Address: For correspondence of FSR information.
       6.2.5 Email address: For correspondence such as newsletters, mailings, and updates about activities.
       6.2.6 Phone number: To contact you regarding participation in events or in case of emergencies.
       6.2.7 Student number: To verify your status as a student.
       6.2.8 Profile picture: To provide companies with an overview of the students that participate in their event, to recognize students during the event.
       6.2.9 IBAN: To collect the annual membership fee.
       6.2.10 Study direction: To give specific updates regarding events that might interest you.
       6.2.11 Study year: To differentiate between different study progress of students.
       6.2.12 Control of Dutch language: To determine participation in “Dutch speaking only” events.
       6.2.13 University: To give specific updates regarding events that might interest you.
6.3 By becoming a member, you guarantee that all information provided by you is accurate and true. 
6.4 By becoming a member, you provide the FSR with personal information and hence give the FSR the irrevocable, unconditional, unlimited, perpetual, and royalty-free right to use the data in any way that it seems fit (except for copies of identity cards/passports). In the event that the FSR transfers its business activities to a third party, the FSR has and maintains the right to also sell or transfer your data. 
6.5 The FSR is allowed to use your data to match you with possibly interesting organizations. Furthermore, the FSR may use your information for promotional purposes.
6.6 The FSR is allowed to save your data on the website and in one or more files.
6.7 The FSR is allowed to use this data to compare this with other data of members in order to ensure that all data is up-to-date
6.8 Any information that is received by you through the FSR, a sponsor of the FSR, or any other third party related to the FSR, may only be used for personal objectives. Other uses must be given written consent by the FSR.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 The FSR holds the rights and qualifications according to the Dutch copyright law and other intellectual law and regulations.
7.2 Everything on the following websites of the FSR belongs to the FSR: www.fsr.nl, www.financialcareerplatform.nl, www.irprotterdam.nl, www.financialbusinesscycle.nl. If you find any material on the website, which you believe is an infringement of a property right, please contact us via info@fsr.nl.
7.3 Members are not allowed to provide any third party with the intellectual property of the FSR.

8. Law

8.1 The Dutch law is applicable to the Terms and Conditions of the FSR.
