As an intern you will work for three to six months in the DCM team. You will assist with transactions, presentations, financial modelling, interpreting market data and prepare market updates. You will learn to give advice on capital funding solutions for our clients, and learn about structuring a DCM product and establish optimal terms for it. In addition you will work closely together with other departments within the bank such as Sector Coverage, Sales, Trading, Equity Capital Markets, M&A and Structured Finance. You will acquire in-depth knowledge of DCM products and be able to widen your general knowledge of the investment banking activities within ABN AMRO.

You consider yourself a top student and have both an analytical yet commercial strong skill set. You have a professional work attitude, enjoy working in a team and are able to deal with multiple tasks within tight deadlines. Candidates for the internship need to fulfil the following requirements
- A natural interest for finance and strong affinity with investment banking
- Academic education (preferably Master students) with excellent grades
- Minimal availability as an intern for three months
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written in the English language
- Relevant extracurricular activities
Who are we?
DCM has expertise in secured and unsecured debt instruments issued by Financial Institutions, Corporates and Public Sector Clients. The main activities of the team are origination, structuring and advisory & syndicate. DCM covers a wide array of bond issuers across Northern & Western Europe and the UK.
Our DCM team is responsible for maintaining a continuous dialogue with our clients to offer the best capital market funding solutions. After an extensive analysis, the most suitable funding solution could be a typical DCM product (e.g. senior unsecured, covered bond and capital instruments) or a DCM related product (e.g. tender offer, warehouse facilities and interest rate hedges).
Within our team we focus on product specialisms in three specific capital market products: (i) Secured Debt, (ii) Hybrid Capital & Liability Management and (iii) Sustainable Finance (green bonds). These teams develop tailor-made structures for clients and/or industry-specific goals.
