Emma Schuller

My name is Emma Schuller and I am the Commissioner Activities of the XXIInd FSR Board. 3 years ago, I started the bachelor Business Administration and joined the student association RSC/RVSV. Over the past years I did several committees and went abroad on exchange to Norway. These experiences showed me the importance of extracurricular activities. Before I will start my Master’s degree I wanted to take a gap year to develop myself in a different way.  A board year seemed to be the perfect way to spend my year since this will offer me the experience that would allow me to further develop my organisational and personal skills.

When I was researching the different possibilities, FSR caught my attention. FSR wants to link finance/accountancy students to the business world by organizing interesting and various events throughout the year. This makes it the perfect opportunity to evolve my organisational skills and gain insights in the business world. As a board member of the FSR you see many different organizations in the financial, accounting, control and consulting sectors.

As the Commissioner Activities, I am responsible for the HR, the International Research Project, the Big 4 Cycle and the Women Consultancy Day. HR entails that I am responsible for the recruitment of the committee members, this includes contact, promotion and interviews with the students who apply.

In addition, I am responsible for the organization of one of the larger events of FSR, the International Research Project. This project takes place in July 2020. We will travel with the committee and 15 participants to another continent to do research for partners. Most of my time is allocated to the organization of this project to ensure it will be successful.

I am very grateful to be given this opportunity and excited to see what this year will bring.

If you have any questions regarding what the FSR or I can offer you, please feel free to contact me or come by our office at H16-25.
